Prepare to be charmed by a series of classical concerts
Churchlands Concert Hall is one of Perth's finest live performance venues
Churchlands Senior High school is home to one of the finest concert halls in Western Australia. Churchlands Concert Hall is a state-of-the art performance venue that has been architecturally designed to ensure the best in acoustic music and live performances and events. It can seat over 504 people and has a tiered auditorium and a stage comparable in size to the Perth Concert Hall. The highlight of the stage is a full sized and highly prized FAZIOLI grand piano which is one of only five known to exist in Western Australia.
The concert hall helps Churchlands Senior High School engage with the community and is home to Western Australia's largest and most successful Specialist Music Program. Some of the professional organisations that are regularly seen in this venue include the WA Symphony Orchestra, the WA Academy of Performing Arts, the WA Charity Orchestra and the WA Youth Strings.
The Churchlands Chamber Concert Series is a great way for classical and musical theatre enthusiasts to be able to experience a live musical performance in this venue. The programme starts on Sunday the 21st of May and finishes on Wednesday the 18th of October. Tickets will be $39 for adults and $29 for concession and $12 dollars for students. There will be light refreshments served at each event and a licenced bar will be open at evening performances. The public are invited to meet the performers at the end of each concert in the foyer.
Some of WASO's most distinguished and talented classical artists will be taking part. Semra Lee Smith, Jon Tooby, Graeme Gilling, Sally Boud, Brent Grapes, Joan Wright, Robert Zielinski, Phil Waldron and Fiona Doyle are all due to perform.
