Love Christmas and just can wait until December? Then why not celebrate Christmas in July?

It has become a sort of tradition to organise Christmas in July festivities all over the world. In Australia, our Christmas day is usually too hot to cook a big traditional meal, so Christmas in July is a good excuse to cook up a yummy Christmas dinner as a mid-winter feast. It is so well-established in Australia that most restaurants, clubs and dining halls offer a catered menu for Christmas in July and are often booked out well in advance.

Many places put up Christmas decorations and offer a Christmas Dinner Menu, which is very popular. Check out your favourite restaurant and see what they are offering. You will be sure to find a restaurant nearby that is joining in with the festivities.

Most restaurants have Christmas in July feasts planned, keep an eye out for details and make sure to book early so you don't miss out on the fun. Belmont Racecourse has some Christmas in July festivities planned, including a buffet luncheon. The Citro Bar and Restaurant has a Festive Christmas buffet for lunch or dinner, Seasons, The Metro Bar & Bistro and the Pagoda Restaurant all have festive Christmas buffets on offer.

Carvers Restaurant at the Burswood Entertainment Complex, offers an all-you-can-eat special festive buffet from the 1st to 31st July. Its great value and the food is fantastic. Lots of variety available, hot and cold dishes, plenty of desserts, soft drinks and tea or coffee all included for a set price.

Maybe, as a bit of fun, organise Christmas in July at your house. Put up a few decorations. Make a yummy Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and get all your family and friends around for a feast. If cost is a factor, and it always is, this need not cost you a fortune. Get everyone to pitch in and bring a dish of food – share the cost. It's a really great excuse for a party. Don't forget to get a Christmas Pudding for dessert- it's the best bit.

We all know it is customary to give gifts at Christmas, so perhaps have a 'Secret Santa' or a lucky dip gift barrel. Nothing too expensive, have a monetary limit, after all, it's just for fun and adds to the excitement.

Why not put up a few decorations around the house? You don't have to go all out if you don't want to, but maybe put up the Christmas tree to really get that jolly atmosphere. Christmas in July is about having a bit of fun, and enjoying spending time with your family and friends, so decorating will help you to really get into the mood.

Get that Christmas feeling - visit Christmas Presence and browse the shelves for all things Christmas. It's like walking into a Christmas Wonderland. Situated at 67 McCoy Street, Myaree, this store has one of the largest ranges of Christmas products in town, including Christmas trees, decorations, table-ware and linen, collectable items and novelties. Start getting ready for Christmas early and watch out for Christmas in July specials.

Whether or not you love Christmas, inject some of that Christmas glow into your life this July, by celebrating Christmas in July. There are plenty of things to do and your friends and family will love sharing this new and sure-fire hit tradition with you.
