The Handweavers and Spinners Guild is getting into the spirit of the holiday season by hosting a Christmas Fair Exhibition. Those stuck for ideas can pick up original and authentic Christmas gifts. Shoppers can choose from a selection of handwoven boxed hand towels, placemats, knitted toys, ornaments and more.

Even though the craft fair has already begun there is still a large selection of Christmas crafts to choose from and is an opportunity that should not be missed. These potential gifts (or grab something to decorate your own home) are environmentally friendly as many are made from hand-spun wool.

As well as being earth friendly, the items selling at this fair are also nice to look at. A teapot appears not only cosy with a hand knitted creation on it, but also a bit tasty-looking (refer to tea cosy picture below).

The choir boys would sit nicely up on a mantelpiece or perhaps part of a Christmas table centrepiece. So, whether you are planning your own holiday decorations or shopping for a friend, consider giving the gift of Christmas by checking out the handmade delights at the Christmas Fair Exhibition.

The exhibition is being held now until mid-December and is at the same guild rooms as the 'Crazy Tea Cosy Exhibition' located in Carlton North. Also, even though the homepage for the guild says the exhibition is on until the 10 December 2011, remaining items that are unsold will be available in the gallery until 17 December 2011.

Also, to pick up any lights, Christmas trees or other decorations to complement those from the Christmas Fair Exhibition, check out Christmas stores such as Rudolph's Warehouse located in Preston.
