This is one of my favourite cafes! A big statement I know, but the place is always packed with all kinds of people enjoying a latte under the heat lamps or on the closed in balcony.

The Choclatte baristas make exquisite coffee, never burnt and on your first sip you can taste the fullness of the bean, expertly and locally produced and made with the kind of passion it deserves. I could go on and on about the great tasting coffee, but instead I am just going to tell you to get there as soon as you can for one of Melbourne's best.

A little afternoon tea was in order on this chilly Melbourne winter's day and we chose a an interesting, spiky looking citrus and poppyseed cake and a classic, homemade scone with strawberry jam and cream. It completely hit the spot too, the scone was soft and perfectly baked and with the jam and cream tasted like a little slice of heaven and the cake had been perfectly created with just a hint of fresh lemon and orange.

The owner is almost always around and obviously very proud of her local produce with some of the cakes and biscuits being made at a sister cafe (which I will have to check out) and of course, the very beautiful and moreish looking chocolates created by a master French chocolatier, also local.

What impressed me to no end was the fact that they remembered which coffee was mine and walked with confidence to my table to serve two identical looking coffee's, one mine and the other for my guest, I really cannot fault this kind of service.

I can honestly tell you, I am tickled pink that Camberwell hosts such a wonderful cafe, and that I was lucky enough to find and now to share it.
