The ANZAC Square Arcade in Brisbane's CBD is a popular area for eating and shopping for both passing through to Central Station from the Queen Street Mall, and for the office workers around Edward, Adelaide, Ann Streets and Wickham Terrace. is a new Chinese restaurant serving both dine-in and takeaway in ANZAC Square Arcade.

They serve stir-fried noodles and rice dishes as well popular Chinese street food and snacks like skewered chicken, skewered sausage, fried chicken wings, pork buns, dumplings and even traditional Chinese fare like chicken gizzard or liver skewered! (I didn't try those last two)

I did however try the Chicken and Vegetable Noodle Stir-Fry. It tasted quite nice with sesame seeds and plenty of green Chinese veggies (bok choy most likely) and barbecued chicken with noodles. The dish did seem rather oily though. However, I wasn't too bothered by it since it didn't seem greasy, just oily. Having said that, stir-fry doesn't really need to be cooked in so much oil regardless. The stir-fry and rice dishes are around $8.5 to $9.90.

Because of the opening week specials, I got a free green tea drink with my noodle dish, which turned out to be matcha green tea , to my pleasant surprise. It was refreshing and came in a sturdy plastic cup!

A few days later I wanted to try out their snacks. I was intending to get takeaway but ended up eating in again, it was relaxing. The opening specials were still going and the other deal was two-for-one chicken skewers. I ended up getting two chicken skewers and rice for $5.80.

The serve of rice was quite nice for $4, given that you can pay $3 for a serve of plain steamed rice in other restaurants. 's fried rice had egg, capsicum, corn and onion and came presented reasonably well on the plate and didn't seem too dry or oily itself.

The chicken skewers were tender and flavoured with cumin so not too spicy. The server described them to me, and said they were spiced but they wouldn't put too much cumin on. It seemed like a good amount of spice, and didn't overpower the sesame or garlic flavours.

At both visits I found the staff friendly and they seemed willing to suggest foods, without being too pushy. They brought the food to the table with a smile and asked how everything was.

Overall, I'll probably keep going there every so often - for me the food doesn't seem too bad. Certainly it's quick and a decent price. I also appreciate their long opening hours - until 7pm Monday to Thursday, and until 9pm Fridays. Good to bring home after work. They are also open Saturday from 11am to 5:30pm.
