Get ready to enjoy some al fresco dining this summer, with many of Chinatown's chefs and restaurateurs taking to the streets on weekends.
On Friday nights throughout summer, an outdoor dining area will be set up under the green awning in the
Chinatown Mall. Guests can enjoy fresh Asian cuisine in a licensed area, as well as free entertainment like live music, street performers and comedy. There will also be a selection of market stalls on display. This event starts at 5.00pm and ends at 10.00pm.
On Saturdays, the Chinatown Mall Asian Food Markets give visitors a chance to watch Chinatown chefs cook their signature dishes in an outdoor kitchen set up throughout the mall. There will also be family friendly activities available, such as a jumping castle, face painting and live circus shows. The Chinatown Mall Asian Food Markets take place from 10.00am until 4.00pm and operates in tandem with the
Valley Markets.
