Chinatown in the heart of Fortitude Valley is an attraction but on Saturday and Sunday it comes to life with the colourful stalls of the China Town Markets.
There are plenty of fun toys to keep the little ones (or the childish at heart) interested or you could Feng Shui your home with some good luck coins and Chinese decorations?
The Fashionistas will also be satisfied with plenty of accessories to jazz up an outfit like sunglasses, handbags, jewelery, hair pieces or even Chinese fans. But these are not the regular spread of jewelery or bags, many are traditional Chinese purses made of embroided silk. There is even lovely silk dresses and jackets to browse through.

It's easy to get to Chinatown via public transport. All train lines go through Fortitude Valley Train Station and buses run regularly to and from the city. There is also secure and on street parking but it can be difficult to park during the weekends. The markets run every Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 4pm.
