It was only meant to be a small, intimate ceremony by the pool with our close friends and family, a celebrant, a couple of bottles of champagne and some nice flowers as a backdrop.

Our small wedding, like most, in the space of a week spiralled out of control; more guests, platters of food, limousine, red carpet, decorations, bouquets of roses and - cake? Wedding cake. I hadn't even thought of that!

Like yourself, I knew The Cheesecake Shop had a wide variety of delicious looking cakes on offer, but did you know they have a huge range of wedding cakes available as well.

Hoping and praying they could help me out, in I went, welcomed by the sweet aroma of chocolate and the cool air conditioning.

I must have appeared desperate as the kind young lady behind the counter approached me with compassion, asking if she could help.
Our wedding cake from the Cheesecake Shop
Our wedding cake was incredible!

I need a cake!" I pointed towards the glass cabinet full of chocolate mud cakes, cheesecakes and custard tarts (wipe drool from mouth here).

But not an ordinary cake" I started. "It's for a wedding. Can you help me?"

And that she did.

The lady discussed with me that we could layer existing cakes. They could make a triple layer cake in the flavour of my choice, or -

She pulled out a folder of plastic sleeves containing pictures of gorgeous and affordable looking wedding cakes!

My day had been saved.

I finally chose upon the 'Passion' cake. Two layers of white gold chocolate, white icing with bundles of red roses and purple ribbon to match my dress. It set me back $260 (a lot less than if I went to a wedding cake specialist) and it was ready in two days.
Best tasting cake I had ever tried
What the Cheesecake Shop came up with!

The morning of my big day, I collected my cake and was instructed to keep the cake as cold as possible to avoid the sweating that can occur on the icing. Together with a decorated cake table, ribbons and smiles, our wedding cake, thanks to the Cheesecake Shop was better than what I could have ever imagined.

After we had cut the cake, I was too busy chatting with family and posing for photos with my husband to think about eating it, until my wonderful mother had tucked a few pieces aside for us and that night, at our honeymoon suite, I almost cried when I scooped a fork full of white gold chocolate cake into my mouth. It was delicious. So delicious we were back two weeks later ordering just a simple cake of the same flavour.
Yum!
Elegantly presented and tastes so good.

The wedding cakes available range in size and price, but the cake I bought served all of our guests and then some.

Brides, bridesmaids, mother of the bride - consider the Cheesecake Shop before you go forking out hundreds and hundreds at a wedding cake shop. You will be surprised.
