Opening its doors on the 24th, 25th and 26th of December, the museum is treating its visitors to a truly Victorian Christmas, complete with traditional decorations, mince pies and mulled wine created from Dickens very own recipe. The £12 entrance fee will also include cinematic viewings, a gift and readings from the work of the great man himself (who just so happened to write Oliver Twist when he lived within the museums walls back in the 19th century!).
For those of you who would rather not venture out on the most festive days of the year, the museums Christmas exhibition is a perfect alternative. Running from November 1st to January 6th 2010 the event brings to life a traditional Victorian Christmas and the ways our not so distant ancestors celebrated the occasion.
