What do you do if you get lost in the centre of London? No, don't stand still and cry - and don't take out your iphone with the hope of finding where you want to go, while one eye nervously flits around looking for people set to pounce on you and your mobile. Why not do like the in-the-know natives do, and let
Centre Point be your guide.
Centre Point stands just off the junction of Charing Cross Road and New Oxford Street, and looks decidedly unimpressive when up close, being a huge block-of-flats-looking concrete and glass monstrosity. The things is though, it is all about the size - you can literally see Centre Point from anywhere within a kilometre radius of it, handy when out shopping in the West End, and suddenly realising you forgot your A-Z.
This doesn't just mean Centre Point is a large scale pin in a map though, oh no - just take a stroll around the structure to see Point 101, a popular bar and nightclub venue, Centre Point Sushi Cafe and food store, which act as a marker to the cluster of Korean shops and restaurants located just behind Centre Point Tower.
Also for those curious enough to venture inside, you can't do much better than head for the top of the Tower, where you'll find the Paramount Club with its spectacular 360 degree views, split between the 31st to 33rd floors inclusive (though you have to be a member to get in).
So the next time you're lost in Central London, find Centre Point, and wait for everything to suddenly make sense (over a cocktail or piece of sushi, of course!)
