World Challenge is a unique organisation, which hosts expeditions usually lasting up to 30 days in developing countries around the world with teams of up to 15 at a time.

These expeditions are exclusively designed for teenagers, aged between 15 and 18 years and aim to develop leadership and life skills.

Over a period of 18 months students are trained to plan, budget, organise, research, fundraise and do team building and fitness exercises to prepare for the expedition.

Currently, a group of 12 students from Adelaide's western suburbs of Henley, Grange and West Lakes areas are raising money to finalise their trip to Vietnam and Laos in November 2014.

Their trip comprises a 30 day expedition with a 7 day trek up Mount Fansipan, learning to navigate the local landscape and a week and a half working with students from a local school and orphanage.

To help raise the much needed funds for their upcoming expedition, the students are collectively hosting a 'Celebrity Movie Event', featuring a special presentation of Transformers: Age of Extinction starring Mark Wahlberg and a live performance by The Voice favourite Rachael Leahcar and Australia's Got Talent, Sam McCool.

This very special event will be held at Piccadilly Cinemas on Saturday 28th of June at 10am and all proceeds will directly go towards the World Challenge Team 2014 !

All are invited to come along and there are several ticketing options available with special perks and goodies including signed merchandise, show bags, Meet and Greet the stars and more. DVDs and CDs will also be given away on the day.

Ticketing starts from $100 for one person or $150 for two: click here to see the range of ticketing options and offers.

There are also many other ways you can contribute to the student's cause as well - starting from as little as $1; click here for more details.
