Feel like a swim or workout this weekend, in brand new state of the art facilities? Then head out to Cranbourne for the official opening of
Casey RACE.
Located on Berwick-Cranbourne Road in Cranbourne East, the long awaited construction of Casey RACE is complete and ready for your free entry on Sunday 14th June 2009.
Built by the City of Casey at a cost of $37 million, Casey RACE includes a 50m lap pool, water play zones for the young (and young at heart), warm water exercise pool, spa, sauna and steam room, child care and a health and fitness centre including a weights room and group fitness studios.
Visit on Sunday 14 June and enjoy the great new facilities of the lap pool, waterslides, splash park, leisure pool and whirlpool, spa, sauna and steam room, and also group fitness classes.
There are two sessions for the general public to try out the aquatic and group fitness facilities which are 9am – 12pm and 1pm – 4pm, so be sure to arrive within these times.
And if you're busy on Sunday, Casey RACE is open on Saturday 13th June for inspections and tours only. There will be a number of free outdoor entertainment options, including face painters, roving entertainers, a merry-go-round, Council’s Vibe Bus, and demonstrations of swimming races, aquatic education, aqua aerobics, and group fitness classes.
Public parking will be available on site at the Casey Indoor Leisure Complex on both days.
