Carnegie's is located bang in the center of Perth and is one of the most popular bars with locals and backpackers wanting to party until the early hours.
It's quieter in the daytime and boasts a large pub menu for the afternoons and a more sophisticated dinner time menu for diners that wish to peruse the restaurant area. They have recently opened a huge roof top bar, designed by a top architect and overlooking Perth CBD.
They have a large selection of beers wins and spirits as well as an extensive cocktail menu. Their prices are reasonable given that Perth is generally very expensive for alcohol and food. Staff are always cheerful and helpful and the atmosphere is always booming on weekend nights.
If you're planning on staying here most of the evening, get there fairly early on, as it is well known for long queues and this can be disappointing.
