Saturday 9th of July sees the the National Rodeo Association come to Canungra.



Just 40 minutes from the heart of the Gold Coast or an hour from the Brisbane CBD, Canungra is a beautiful township within the Lamington National Park.

The main gates open at 11AM with lead up events and heats running until around 2PM. The main event gets under way after the lead-up and heats and ends at around 8PM.



As well as the bronc riding, bull riding and barrel racing, you will see Barrel racing, poddy rides, bareback riding and calf roping.

Some of Queensland's top cowboys are competing and this is a full points meeting for them, meaning the competition will be intense.


ADMISSION PRICES FOR 2016 RODEO
Adults - $20
Children (aged 3 - 15 years) - $5
Family (2 adults, 3 children) - $45
(additional children $5 per child)
Pensioners (Aged) - $5

Tickets sold at the gate.

Bring a blanket or a warm jacket, this is winter and the forecast shows a minimum overnight temperature for that time of year around 7C

You can have the kids safely home, tucked up in bed before 9:30, not bad for the weekend!

There are food vendors and a canteen on site and musician Mike Oberle will be playing until close.
