Community Markets for Cancer Support

On Sunday the 29th March Cancer Support WA will be holding its Community Markets .

The event brings together more than 30 local businesses offering a range of products, activities and services.

The Market will feature stalls offering local produce, specialty food vendors and wellness related products, among other goods. The event is suitable for all ages and includes wellness demonstrations, food sampling and free activities such as Tai Chi and Qi Gong.

The event is one of several community events hosted across the year to further awareness of support services available to people with cancer and their families, and raise funds.

Cancer Support WA provides a great deal of help for people dealing with cancer. Services include a 24 hour Cancer Support Phone Line, counselling for individuals and families, information packs and home and hospital visits from counselling staff.

Cancer Support WA CEO Mandy BeckerKnox said, "The event welcomes families and the community to enjoy a morning at the Market situated in the pleasant surrounds of the Cancer Support WA's campus."

She said the Markets and other community engagement is one way to show people Cancer Support WA is available and ready to assist them.
