My husband and I had a wonderful restaurant experience at the highly rated Sri Lankan restaurant Camellia in Manuka.

On arrival at the restaurant we received a friendly greeting and shown to our table, my chair was pulled out for me and napkin placed in my lap. There were linen table cloths and, folded napkins on the tables and candles glowing creating wonderful ambience. We were poured a glass of lemon water, had our drink order taken and offered some Naan (Indian bread).

Our meal consisted of a shared entrée, desert and separate main meals. For entree; fish pan roll, mains; biriyani and kotu roti and for desert; steamed coconut wandu (however this was not steamed it was baked and a little dry but still very tasty).

The restaurant ticks all the boxes in regards to good service, ambience and nicely presented food. The business owner made us feel special, for example, pulling out the chair and placing the napkin on my lap, which in my view, is a rarity if you are not paying top dollar for the meal.

Over all a wonderful experience and at a total cost of $75 which included the shared entrée 2 main meals and shared desert. We enjoyed the meal here it was nice to try different flavours, the food was just as it is shown in the images on the website. The whole experience was enjoyable.
