Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Darling Street in Balmain, is a hidden gem of Balmain Village - a little cafe where you can enjoy good food, great atmosphere and good service.

Once seated, the friendly staff handed me a menu. The menu offers a large breakfast selection. As I am a sweet tooth, it's fairly easy for me to decide what I would like to eat - my much-loved pancakes! There is a variety of choices on menu and I ordered the pancakes with lovely fruit combinations - bananas, strawberries and blueberries, which are not something you easily come across at other eateries.

The pancakes were simply wonderful - they're warmly served with the right balance in flavour, the food was fresh, the taste was incredibly good, and the serving was indeed generous. These are the best pancakes I have ever had in my life! Having delicious pancakes, complemented with a cup of fresh coffee, I was absolutely elated with my breakfast choice.





The good food is just part of the story. Adding to the character, the cafe is interestingly decorated - an old style fan hanging from the high ceiling, and a display of music records in black vinyl on the walls. If the booth seat next to the windows is not occupied, take it as it would be the best spot to allow yourself and your friends to seat comfortably, and enjoy the natural sunlight.







This local cafe is very popular, always packed with families, group of friends and couples. So, don't expect to come over the cafe for a quiet chat with your friends. Surrounding the cafe, the atmosphere is always lively with lots of laughs from customers, which leads to uplift your mood and whet your appetite.

This is a great place for you to experience good food while enjoying casual weekend catch-up with friends over breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
