Café Opera at the Intercontinental Hotel offers an amazing seafood buffet. Deadliest catch crabs, prawns, lobster, yabbies, calamari. as well as roasts, pastas, salads, cheeses, breads and desserts. There was a fair range of gluten free options available for the irritable.

I found myself suffering from 'eyes bigger than my tummy' disease. Without guilt I filled my plate with delicious deadliest catch crab legs and claws decorated with oysters as my entree, then divine garlic buttered lobster, soft and tender mouth-watering prawns and sashimi. The vegetables weren't an option on my plate but the calamari definitely was.

The patrons were friendly, one lady was playing with her food and smiled for the camera, and then later followed me to the chocolate fountain where there were ladies lined up telling their men to go away. Clearly a no man zone!

The service was fantastic, a very friendly place to eat with tentative staff that worked to the Intercontinental standards.
