Most markets have pretty mundane names, usually comprising the name of the place where it takes place followed by the word "market".

That's all well and good, and helps to place it in the mind of someone who reads about it in a newspaper or magazine or some such place.

So when I stumbled across Cabbages & Frocks Market for the first time, in a printed publication recently, I was at first slightly confused for I was certain there was no place called Cabbages & Frocks.

The adorable name alone was, however, enough to pique my interest, though some research was needed to find out about its precise location. Well, for anyone interested, all can be revealed.

You'll find Cabbages & Frocks Market in Marylebone and it takes place every Saturday, opening for business at 11am and packing up at around 5pm.

It's not, by all accounts, a particularly large market, but it's a market nonetheless, so if you're one partial to the occasional shopping expedition, you'll surely find something here to exchange for banknotes.

So what might you find there? Cakes to fill your belly and drinks to quench your thirst? For sure.

Apparently the food, which includes mouthwatering goodies such as Argentinian steak sandwiches and various Japanese delicacies, is sold alongside a range of vintage clothing, children's clothing and jewellery, much of it the work of new designers.

You'll find Cabbages & Frocks Market in the grounds of St. Marylebone Parish Church on Marylebone High Street. If you're in the area on a Saturday, try to plan your day so you can drop by, and be sure to grab lunch there. It should be well worth it.

The food looks superb and I couldnt quite work out if the other photo was high quality paper or some sort of fabric. It does look interesting though.I love markets and interesting markets. There are so many talented people who create amazing things and sell the most superb organic or handmade products at markets.
