A new burger bar has opened on Commercial Road in Newstead and they do things a little differently. At BYOB (Build Your Own Burger) you get to completely customise your burger. Imagine the burger style of Grill'd crossed with the selection on offer at Subway, and you'll be on the right track.
Based on classic American burger bars, there's a huge variety of toppings with which you can load your burger. Included in the standard charge is your choice of bun and burger patty, cheese, three salad items, sauce and one extra, such as grilled mushrooms or eggplant, fried egg, pineapple or bacon. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available. Additional toppings and premium extras can also be purchased, but be careful: the indecisive could end up with an expensive burger piled too high to bite into.
There's no need to be overwhelmed by choice, though. If you're not feeling creative, you can try one of BYOB's pre-designed burgers or the "Burger of the Month" suggested and tested by other customers. They also offer a selection classic sides like (cheese-) covered fries, onion rings and coleslaw, as well as the more exotic sweet potato fries, mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers.
