is located inside Pushy's bike shop, in the industrial area of Fyshwick. It is an unusual location, however somehow it works. opens at 6:30am each weekday morning and from this time until 9am, you can see lines of local workers and tradies waiting for their early morning coffee fix. If you happen to drive past the rest of the day, it is always full of people sitting inside, looking out the window contently in their sunny location. One Sunday morning, our family decided to give it a try after visiting Fyshwick Bunnings across the road. When we walked in, the smell of coffee filled the air and there were several groups sitting around enjoying coffee and breakfast by the impressive gas fireplace. On a brisk Autumn morning, there was no better place to be.

Another reason this cafe always seems to be busy, as we soon found out, is the well-priced, generous-sized servings on the menu with a variety of healthy selections for both breakfast and lunch. Are you planning on going to Fyshwick this weekend to buy a couch, pick up some plants, grab some plumbing supplies or price some TVs? Then why not stop at , to start your day like this...

is a comfortable place to sit and just relax for awhile, with a variety of different seating to choose from - including a long bar table along the window, tables for four and two red chesterfield couches facing each other, for a cosy chat and a coffee with friends. For kids, there is a small table with puzzles to entertain them while they wait. Of course, being inside a bike shop, there are bikes in the walkway, hanging from the ceiling and also hundreds to have a look at in the shop nearby. This Pushy's bike shop has high-end bikes costing between $2K - $10K a bike, so it is interesting to do some window shopping and admire the range.

Fyshwick has a wide range of cafes, food outlets and bakeries around its many streets, however is one of the best. As well as offering delicious coffee and food, it has a casual ambience to it, where you don't feel rushed or hurried - despite being in Canberra's busiest industrial suburb. If you are on your own and waiting for a car at the mechanics, then why not grab a coffee and one of the free newspapers and stay for awhile. After visiting this cafe, we now understand why it always has people inside, with more cars pulling into the driveway all the time. It offers simple, good food, done well - with reasonable prices.

If you have your dog with you, also has a few outside tables overlooking the carpark, so you can sit together and grab a bite to eat. You and your pooch will be more than welcome, as this dog-friendly cafe has the most upmarket doggie water bowl I have ever seen...
