Now here is a neat joint, is situated on 396 Little Collins Street, Melbourne.

What makes so great you ask?

Well this small modern space, located in the basement of the Fairfax House is suited for those days when you are in the CBD and you are looking for a quick, light breakfast or a long, relaxed lunch or perhaps even a quiet dinner.

Open from 7am till 4pm on Monday to Wednesday and 7am to late on Thursday to Saturday, has an extensive menu and wine list, which is sure to please all guests.

Some highlights from the moderately priced menu include the big breakfast, priced at $16 which includes 2 eggs (anyway you like) with mushrooms, spinach, tomato, avocado and hashbrowns. If you prefer something lighter, perhaps the seasonal fruit salad ($8) with yogurt, toasted almonds and honey will take your fancy.

For lunch try the soup of the day ($12) or perhaps venture towards the sirloin steak, served with braised red cabbage and the all important béarnaise sauce ($21).

Dinner too is sorted, mains include a rack of lamb with confit potatoes ($29) and poached chicken breast with grilled seasonal vegetables and salsa verde ($25).

Don't forget dessert! How about dark chocolate and raspberry mille-feuille ($13) or the Cheese plate ($20). They are as great as they sound!

So why not drop into next time your in the CBD and enjoy a pleasant meal.
