Friend: "Where are you now?"Me: "I'm enjoying a coffee in BrisBean!"Friend: "...you mean Brisbane?"Me: "Nope, BrisBean!"

Where is ?

is located in Alderley, a suburb approximately 7km north-west of Brisbane's central business district. Having had a post-office since 1878 and a railway station since 1899, Alderley is considered an "older" suburb. In contrast, is a relatively new establishment, having only opened in May 2016. The name 'Alderley' was derived from Alderley Edge in Cheshire, England. More specifically, BrisBean coffee sits on the corner between busy South Pine Road and quieter Railway Place; providing a nice mix between the hustle and bustle and a relaxing atmosphere.

What seating is available at ?

There is both indoor and outdoor seating available at - both are equally good choices! The indoor seating offers both traditional wooden table and chairs, in addition to comfortable couches with coffee tables. Heaps of mini coffee 'posters' are carefully positioned and arranged into the word... yep, you guessed it, coffee! Complete with white brick walls and a string of upside down planters, the inside of is not a sight to be missed. However, outdoor seating at is also a great choice - hands up for those who's keen for some fresh air and some natural light!

What food and drink is available at ?

There is a wide range of food and drink options available at BrisBean Cafe - choose from lighter meals such as raisin toast with butter or smashed avo on toasted sourdough, or go for something heartier such as the 'BrisBean Biggie' (Big Breakfast - eggs your way, bacon, chorizo sausage, baked beans, grilled tomato, and mushrooms with toasted sourdough), or Cheese Scrambled Eggs in Avocado (cheese, herbs topped with crispy bacon pieces and served in avocado boat with heirloom tomatoes with ciabatta). And much more!

If you're not in the mood for breakfast items, there are also choices such as nachos, tacos and burgers up for grabs. For the health-minded, BrisBean also have a "superfood/healthy corner" (with food served in sustainably harvested Acacia wood, love heart bowls).

And don't forget to check out the display cabinet inside the cafe for some dessert or other goodies!

Is dog-friendly?

Yes, they sure are! In addition to providing doggy patrons with a water bowl with fresh drinking water, 's staff went one step further and offered my dogs some food - I asked for some plain bread, which was presented beautifully on a plate. My dogs love their grainy carbs! Thanks for your wonderful hospitality once again, !

Any other things worth noting about ?

Although I personally didn't have a chance to try their coffee here, iIf you're a coffee lover and love the coffee at BrisBean, you might be interested in BrisBean's reward card - buy 9 coffees and get the 10th one free! Or take it one step further and actually purchase a bag of coffee beans for just $15, so that you too can brew your own amazing coffee without leaving the comforts of home.

If you're waiting for a takeaway coffee, or, well, feel like doing some shopping, feel free to pop in next door to the Australian Red Cross Op Shop and score yourself some bargains, while doing a good deed and making good use of your hard-earned money.

And finally, check out this amazing piece of art that can be found right outside ! The boys, along with their band, look like they're just about ready to release their first EP...
