The theme for this year's Brisbane New Year's Eve Ball is 'I Wish I Was'!
Widely considered to be one of the most anticipated New Year's Eve events in Brisbane, the 'I Wish I Was' Ball 2013-14 will kick off at 7:30pm on Tuesday 31st December 2013 at The Marquee - RNA Showgrounds.
This year's event will feature live music performances from the likes of Capitol Groove, Booster and The Full House Band, as well as mystery entertainment across three stages.
There will also be rides and attractions for all to enjoy, as well as a spectacular food station menu courtesy of the award winning Brents Restaurant team and a range of spirits, beer, wine and champagne.
Plus throughout the evening there will also be best dressed competitions with prizes up for grabs.
The Brisbane New Year's Eve Ball, which celebrated a remarkable 20 years in 2012, initially started life as a simple New Year's Eve party on a wharf in Balmoral. In 1994, the event was held at City Hall and in 2011 moved to the RNA Showgrounds.
Over the years, the themes may have changed (past themes have included Black, White and Gold, Masquerade, Hollywood, Gangster and Glamour, Prom Night and Heroes and Villains) but the objective of the Brisbane New Year's Eve Ball committee has always remained the same; create a fun and relaxed party atmosphere for all and start the new year with a bang!
This year's theme was selected as it offered party-goers a wide range of possibilities! But before you get to the fun of designing your costume - here are the need to know details;
