5 to 30 April – The Witch Doctor & the Windmill Art Exhibition
One of the most important living Aboriginal artists in Australia, Linda Syddick Napaltjarri, will be showcasing her artworks in a solo exhibition. She is one of the last generation of Aboriginal artists to have memories of when her family first encountered western civilisation. Her works are held in major public collections, including the National Gallery of Australia, the Art Gallery of South Australia and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. The Witch Doctor and the Windmill exhibition showcases her fusion of Christian and Aboriginal traditional themes and motifs. The exhibition will run till 6 May 2017. Royal Queensland Art Society (RQAS) is an art society that hosts a cultural hub for artists and art-loving public. They feature artworks, workshops, and competitions in The Petrie Terrace Gallery. 20 April: Located at the southern end of Little Stanley Street Lawns, the early childhood music class offers half-hour sessions of singing, games, rhymes, finger plays, lullabies, dancing and stories presented by Hush Little Baby.
27 April - Kids can join TumbleTastics at the Central Café Lawns for an early-learning, kindergym program. It is designed to teach children the fundamentals of movement so kids can enjoy climbing, crawling and bending kindergym activities.

28 to 30 April – Buddha Birthday Festival 2017

In commemoration of the Great Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, the Chung-Tian Buddhist Temple and Buddha's Light International Association are hosting the largest annual Buddhist Birthday Festival in the world. Now on its 20th year, the event will be serving up a massive range of activities including a Light Offering, purification ceremony, lion dance, multicultural parade, dragon boat regatta and vegetarian food stalls.
