This year, Brisbane is putting on a show of festival events that should be attended!

There is something for everyone at these festivals below:

1. Ocean Film Festival Australia
When: 4 March 2015: 7pm-10pm
Where: Eldorado Cinema, 141 Coonan St, Brisbane
Cost: Adults: $30pp, Child: $22pp & Group tickets: $25.50pp
Details: Designed to mesmerise and enthral, the Ocean Film Festival Australia showcases more than two hours of sublime footage taken above and below the water's surface. The films feature captivating cinematography, complete with awe-inspiring underwater scenes and fast-paced sequences... this is certainly worth seeing! For more information see website.

2. Brisbane Comedy Festival
When: 24 February 2015-22 March 2015:
Where: Brisbane Powerhouse, 119 Lamington St, New Farm

Details: Starring dozens of international and Australian comedians, this festival will certainly make you giggle, chuckle, cackle and a rip-snorter of a good time! See website for more information including ticket purchases.

3. Sail Festival
When: 3 April 2015: 9am-4pm
Where: Suttons Beach, Marine Parade, Redcliffe
Cost: Free
Details: The Sails Festival is a colourful seaside celebration of all things Easter and nautical. There are hundreds of markets lining up the beautiful foreshores of Suttons Beach, food stalls, stage entertainment, amusements, rides, kids workshops are some of the features that make up this festival. 4. Illuminations Festival
When: 13 June 2015: 12pm-9pm
Where: Wynnum Wading Pool, Wynnum Esplanade, Brisbane
Cost: Free
Details: This festival is all about capturing our imagination. Be prepared to light up your senses and be illuminated with the creative talents in this spirited seaside community. Click here for website

5. School Fete
When: 7 June 2015: 10am-3pm
Where: Jamboree Heights State School, 35 Beanland St, Brisbane
Cost: Free
Details: This family-fun event is filled with rides, homemade products, face painting, school based performances, entertainment, activities and plenty more to keep the whole family satisfied.

6. YogaFest
When: 3- 4 October 2015: 9am-6pm
Where: Old Museum Building, 460 Gregory Terrace, Brisbane
Cost: 1 day tickets: $75pp – for all ticket details see website
Details: This annual festival is held over two days and is for all Yoga enthusiasts! There will be a large diversity of Yoga workshops, styles presentations, Chinese Medicine, dance, massage and plenty more activities and things to see & do. 7. Oktoberfest Brisbane
When: 9 – 18 October 2015: for all times see website.
Where: Brisbane Showgrounds, 600 Gregory Terrace, Brisbane
Cost: Tickets start from $16pp – see website for all ticket prices
Details: Get ready for a German Festival experience like no other in Australia! This cultural event is filled with the finest German fare including mouthwatering German sausages, pork knuckles, schnitzels and pretzels, an array of desserts, including traditional black forest cakes, Bavarian cheesecakes, apple strudels and plenty more delights. Of course the event will not be complete without Beer! There will be plenty of handcrafted beers on offer, dances, performances and plenty more entertainment throughout the festival.
