At 11am this Saturday April 6, the doors of Brisbane City Hall will be opened to the public for the first time since the refurbishment began in January 2010. The rededication celebration will be an opportunity to showcase the $215 million worth of upgrades made to the building, including increased wheelchair accessibility, installation of solar panels, braille signage and audio looping throughout the building, strengthened beams and columns, upgraded fire security features and the opening of the new Museum of Brisbane on level 3.

Brisbane City Hall was first officially opened in 1930, and was ranked the second largest construction of its time, surpassed only by the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Saturday's rededication ceremony will kick off a week of free activities and musical performances. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of one of Brisbane's historic events!
