On Saturday, 22 April 2017, the Town of Cambridge is holding a free Breakfast with Birds at Lake Monger Reserve, a well-known leisure area and waterbird habitat. The reserve is popular with families, joggers, walkers and cyclists who are keen to take in the lake's natural beauty. Starting at 7.00am and finishing at 9.00 am, there is will an opportunity to watch the local bird life and then, to cap off the morning with a scrumptious barbeque breakfast.
The event provides a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the many bird species that have made Lake Monger their home and to practice identifying them. Spot little grass birds, yellow-billed spoonbills, little corellas, and pacific black ducks. Come back another day and wow your friends with your new found knowledge.
