When you think about it, a breakfast degustation makes a lot of sense. First thing in the morning is usually when a person is their hungriest and then they've got the rest of the day to work off the meal. Take advantage of this logic and serve up a delicious feast with all of your breakfast favourites.
A
degustation meal is usually at least three courses. These are some of your options for a breakfast banquet.
Fruit course: Start with something sweet and healthy. A fruit platter or small serving of fruit salad, perhaps with a side of yoghurt, is all you need.
Bread course: Lay out toast, croissants and/or scones with a variety of spreads or serve fresh muffins or
flavoured Danishes.
Savoury course: This will be the equivalent of your main meal. Cook up a breakfast staple such as bacon and eggs or try something fancy like a
cheese soufflé.
Sweet course: Chase that with a dessert dish. Pancakes or waffles always go down a treat, especially when smothered with syrup or chocolate.
Don't forget to complement the meal with loads of coffee and juice.

As of March 2011, the menu includes truffled mushrooms, a fillo pastry basket and a poached pear. The degustation breakfast is available seven days a week by appointment only and is licensed BYO.
