I moved to Brisbane three years ago having through the years lived in The Netherlands, UK, South Africa, Qatar and Oz. I'm a single mum with three kids always looking for penny pinching ways to have fun and discover new places and things to do!

Buffet breakfast with sparking wine
Not many places in Brisbane offer a buffet breakfast, much less on a Saturday morning. Having searched high and low craving a full breakfast buffet I was happy to find one at the Broncos Leagues Club. Full of anticipation I headed to Red Hill to go and stuff my tummy.
From the moment you walk in to the club, you know this isn't just another Leagues Club. This is one of Brisbane's newest clubs, only having opened in March 2012. It's spacious and modern but welcomes young and old alike. The decor leaves no doubt that you are entering Bronco's territory with pictures of past and present captains and players adorning the walls. The hall fame expands some more on the history of the club and boasts some of the trophies they have won over the years. I definitely recommend becoming a member if you're a Bronco's fan!
The spacious dining area brings to mind an American style diner with some table booths but has more traditional seating as well. We chose a lovely table on the terrace which allowed us to watch the Broncos kicking balls with some of their young supporters and fans on their family fun day. The staff was very helpful and informative, doing everything to make our first visit hassle free and relaxed.
Spacious Buffet and Dining area means no long queues
We headed off to go and explore the food. On offer was a selection of breakfast cereals with fresh milk, some light croissants, muffins and toast as well as freshly made fruit salad and yoghurt, not to mention the real deal breakfast that had lead me on this path in the first place; they had the 'full monty'. The bacon was decent slices of yummy smoked back bacon, beef sausages, lambs fry, omelettes, poached egg, baked beans and... spaghetti in tomato sauce (which I have to admit I found a bit odd!) and much more.
Customary Orange and Apple Juice was served alongside some Pineapple Juice, Guava and Apple juice and we were surprised with a glass of sparkling wine on the house as well - apparently available every weekend! The coffee was a bit of a letdown – first there were not enough cups for each of us to have a cup and then we discovered that it was just instant coffee. Given the rest of the experience though – Breakfast with the Bronco's is definitely highly recommended and they'll be seeing this (new) member again!
The kids loved reading about all the Broncos achievements and seeing the trophies - not to mention the Bronco Merchandise shop!
