Boroondara Arts has announced its exciting lineup for 2017, incorporating a curated program across its performance venues - the Hawthorn Arts Centre and the Kew Court House .

Kicking off the program is musician Josh Cashman. Hailing from Gippsland, Josh built up a following from humble beginnings, through posting Facebook videos in which he skilfully created music by interweaving layers of electronic textures and loops with acoustic folk originals. Word of his talent quickly spread, often resulting in him having thousands of views in 24 hours.



Josh plays at the Kew Court House at 8.00pm on Friday 10th February. All tickets are $25. Click here to buy tickets online.

Another program highlight is The Little Stevies. This folk/alt-rock group is renowned for its often hilarious storytelling in song, with the sisters' songwriting always leaving a lasting impression.

Melbourne Ballet Company will perform Being and Time, a work based on what is described as 'one of the important philosophical publications of our time', by German philosopher Martin Heidegger. "Being and Time sets out to view the world from a purely existentialist perspective. It promises to be a thrilling creative development whose structure is only revealed in this captivating dance program." (Simon Hoy, MBC director and resident choreographer).



Catch Being and Time at the Hawthorn Arts Centre at 7.30pm from 29th - 31st March. Tickets are $40 full, $34 concession, $29 under 16 years, and you can buy them by clicking here .

This is just a brief glimpse of some of the highlights in the first quarter of the year. However, it is a rich and diverse program, featuring over 40 items, with something to suit most tastes. The wide-ranging program includes big bands, classical music, cabaret and family friendly events. You'll also find interesting artists and performances, including music from Turkey, Italy, Greece, Colombia and Africa.
