
You can meld your twin passions for the beach and the cinema together at the 10th Annual
Bondi Short Film Festival.
Kick off the summer in cinematic style by making your way to the
Bondi Pavillion to see the latest creations from budding auteurs, Hitchcocks, Speilbergs and Tarintinos.
The festival is non-thematic and open to the filmmaker's discretion, allowing for a melting pot of ideas from drama, comedy, documentary to animation.
Francis Coady established the unrestricted festival in 2001 as a favour to friends who had missed out on entering Sydney festivals due to previously screening in other Australian states.

The film competition acts as a launch pad for inspired emerging film makers.
This year's judges include Beautiful Kate writer/director Rachel Ward, actor Damon Gameau (Underbelly, Balibo), writer/director David Caesar (Prime Mover), filmmaker Gracie Otto (3 Blind Mice) and Filmink editor Dov Kornits and Triple J's Robbie Buck will be mc-ing the event.
Prizes include a return flight to North America to attend any film festival chosen by the winning director from Showtime.
The best Cinematography Award includes a Getty Images $3,000 prepaid Visa Card with and a 30% discount for 2011 and Spectrum Films provides the winning filmmaker with $3,000 worth of editing time.
