Bobbin Bicycles' tag line is 'The Most Beautiful Bike Shop in Britain', and it's a well deserved moniker, even if it's self proclaimed. 'Cause the people behind Bobbin see bikes as things of beauty as well as machines for helping you get form A to B with ease. Which is something that the vast majority of other bike shops don't.
You know you want to...
This care of bikes trickles into their attitude to customer service as well. When you buy a bike from Bobbin, you have to book an appointment with them to try out the bikes you might want to buy (it is a small shop, but it feels nice knowing you've got someone's full attention.).
And the bikes, oh, the bikes... They have all the latest and prettiest
Pashleys - which have been being hand made in Stratford-upon-Avon since 1926 and come with a soul, along with Metropoles, Dutch style
Globe bikes and their own Bobbin brand bikes, which they have made up to their own specifications. If you love carbon fibre racing bikes then this is not the bike shop for you, their brands all err on the vintage side, now also called Dutch, and they're mostly made of steel – so they're solid, reliable and will take 20 years of wear comfortably.
If you're worried about comfort and your bike doesn't come with a Brooks saddle then you can upgrade to one. Other accessories that Bobbin will help you pimp out your ride with include faux leather panniers, riding capes, spats and helmets dressed up as deerstalkers or bowler hats.
