Time to start thinking about what to do for Easter.

Here is an idea if your not leaving town.

Come out to Sandgate for a casual day out during the Bluewater Festival.

The festival runs from the first week of Easter, starting Saturday, 31st March. However the main events start on Thursday, 5th of April with fireworks, kicking off at 7.30pm.

A highlight of the festival is the 'Brisbane to Gladstone' yacht race, which is an exciting event attracting many to the shores of Shorncliffe, where you can enjoy a 'fun day out' with family and friends, a picnic or BBQ.

At this stage it notes the race starts at 12pm, but it is a good idea to confirm the time of the race closer to the event date, as it is 'weather dependant'.

A variety of entertainment is put on during the festival including stalls, music, fireworks and outdoor cinema.
