[BREAK]
Upstairs, in a Heritage building in the Adelaide Hills, five fellas have banded together to share their stories. Sink into a floor cushion or pull up a chair in this intimate setting to chill to the Blues Brothers Get Unplugged. The Adelaide Fringe comes to the Hills from the 15th of February to the 7th of March. Mt Barker Town Hall is host to a variety of creative acts and displays by local artists.
[BREAK]
Blues Brothers Get Unplugged is Matt Evans, Jamie McPherson, Henry Phillips, Max Tulysewski and Chester Winchester performing for one night only on the 28th February, 2014. Embracing high school exuberance and seasoned performers, these five musicians will have the music flowing through your veins with their acoustic blues.
[BREAK]
Jamie sees the unplugged performance as a real chance for the musicians to connect with the audience. He is thrilled to be performing with artists more than 25 years his junior. "These guys have stories to tell and voices to be heard."
[BREAK]

At fifteen, Henry is the youngest. He performs as a solo artist and with several bands. Blues, pop and jazz are his style. Max has many strings to his ukulele. He sings and plays a ukulele in Max Madman & the Heck Yeahs. He drums in the Heggarties, Ellipsis and Aura Form. Max is a songwriter, producer and music reviewer.
[BREAK]
Matt will woo us with his dark blues-inspired sound influenced by Eric Clapton, Chris Cornell, Johnny Cash and Phil Lynott. Close your eyes when Chester is playing his lyrical harmonica and you might think Bob Dylan is in the room.
[BREAK]
Jamie describes his compositions as 'Dead Cowboy Music'. He sings stories of folk long past and strangers in strange lands. His characters may meet with a violent demise or an encounter of the supernatural. Folk, blues, rock and outlaw country influence Jamie's song writing.

Blues Brothers Get Unplugged are performing at Mt Barker Town Hall on Friday the 28th February. The show starts at 7.30pm and runs to 9.30pm. Tickets are $15/$20. It's music for the soul.
