Blue Demon is a modern day B-grade "death from the deep" Horror-Sci-fi-Comedy, directed by Daniel Grodnik and just oozes with campy goodness.

Starring Dedee Pfeiffer, Randall Batinkoff and the amazingly talented Danny Woodburn, Blue Demon follows "the shark brothers" a group of six giant, genetically modified and hilarious looking computer-animated CGI sharks, with blue human-like eyes and chips implanted into their brains, which can be used to control them into not attacking, except for the biggest, worst behaved shark only known as Red Dog, who manages to rally his school of brothers together to bust out and into the natural environment to reek havoc for the beach goers in the area.

This film has a surprisingly small amount of victims for a film with six massive man-eating predators in it and has some of the funniest dialogue I have heard in a "death from the deep" film in a long time and has left itself wide open for a hopeful and highly anticipated sequel and is a definite must see for any movie buff.

Blue Demon is rated M for mature audiences as it has infrequent violence and coarse language and was originally released on DVD in 2009.

9.5/10
