A Day on The Green presents Cyndi Lauper and Blondie is a double headline spectacular at Leconfield Wines, McLaren Vale on Sunday April 9th. Accompanied by Alex Lahey, Montaigne and The Clouds, the show will run from 4:30pm until approximately 9:45pm. In a world first, these two amazing artists are teaming up to co-headline an absolute cracker of an Australian and New Zealand tour in April 2017.

Cyndi Lauper's career has spanned over 30 years, with her debut solo album released in 1983 'She's So Unusual' featuring four top-five hits on the Billboard Hot 100 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun', 'Time After Time', 'She Bop' and 'All Through the Night'. The success continued with her second record 'True Colors' in 1986.

Lauper has created an image for herself and fans love her, she has sold over 50 million records and 20 million singles. She is one of only 20 people to earn Emmy, Grammy, and Tony awards. This year she released her 11th album featuring a dozen classic country songs.

Her upcoming tour will promote 'Detour' her eleventh studio album and will feature songs 'Funnel of Love', 'Detour', 'Misty Blue', 'Walkin After Midnight' 'Heartaches by the Number', 'The End of The World', 'Nightlife', 'Begging to You', 'You're the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly', 'I Fall to Pieces', 'I Wanna be a Cowboys Sweetheart' and 'Hard Candy Christmas'.

Blondie formed in the late 1970's including members Debbie Harry, Chris Stein and Clem Burke. Selling 40 million albums worldwide they were quick to find fame with catchy lyrics and pumping music. In 1978 they hit their first number one hit on the US top 40 with 'Heart Of Glass'. They rose to fame with 14 Top Ten US hits including 'The Tide Is High', 'Call Me', 'Rapture', 'Picture This', 'Hanging On The Telephone', 'Union City Blues' and 'Atomic'.

In 1982 Blondie broke up after the release of its sixth album 'The Hunter', but re-formed in 1997 releasing 'Maria' in 1999. The band's eleventh studio album was released in May 2017 called 'Pollinator' featuring songs 'Doom or Destiny', 'Long Time', 'Already Naked', 'Fun', 'My Monster' ' Best Day Ever', 'Gravity', When i Gave up on you', 'Love Level', 'Too Much' and 'Fragments' and is the reason for this incredible tour. A Day on the Green show audiences are also in for a treat with The Clouds, Montaigne and Alex Lahey.
