London's largest vintage-clothes (and much more) store opened in August 2011, bringing to the capital what its founders call a "vintage lifestyle destination."
Blitz has taken over an enormous Victorian warehouse in Hanbury Street, just off Brick Lane, and filled its five spacious rooms with a vast range of vintage goods.
Among them you'll find secondhand books, records from yesteryear, original movie posters, jewellery, reading glasses, sunglasses, not to mention lots of cool antique furniture.
But wait - there's more. Blitz also offers stylish dress watches, Swatch watches, pens, fragrances, bikes and luggage. Oh, and of course, a ton of vintage clothes (from America and Europe).
It's a real mish-mash of fascinating items that'll have you dashing from room to room like you're in some kind of supermarket sweep game show. But take it slow - because there's plenty to peruse.
Indeed, Blitz claims to have "more genuinely hand selected, on trend vintage clothing than any other [store] in London." That's going some.
So if you're looking for that special party frock, or simply fancy a trip down memory lane, Blitz can sort you out.
Exploring its 9,000 square feet of floor space is bound to take its toll on your legs and back, so you'll please to know that Blitz also has its own in-store coffee shop where you can take a break before diving back in.
Set in a vibrant and exciting
part of London, you could easily spend the best part of a day in the
area, taking in the new Blitz store before going off to explore the rest of
Brick Lane and its environs.
