The Blackman Hotel is now easily one of my favourite hotels in Melbourne. I've stayed twice and intend on staying there on my next trip. I find the location on St Kilda Road central, and the hotel packages fabulous value.
On arrival, the lobby hints of the artistic tones of the property. The works of Australian artist Charles Blackman are throughout the rooms and hotel, including mirror bunnies on the corridor walls.
It's perfect for a working trip, with wireless, self contained kitchens and a great dining area (or in my case, workspace). The beds are ultra comfortable and the décor is modern, but still very warm and cosy. On my first stay, I enjoyed an oversize (and I mean oversize) roof terrace, and the second time, two beautiful balconies.
Downstairs you will find a great bar, and cafe. Perfect for your morning coffee - or if you are feeling lazy, room service.
Love this hotel. Can't recommend it enough.
