Situated about midway between the major hubs of Mandurah and Bunbury is the sleepy town of Binningup. There is not much to do in this town, making it the perfect place to go if you want to truly relax.


The caravan park is dated but still very popular especially for the older generation. As you enter the drive, you will be met by the caretaker in the office. The building in which it stands looks like a throwback from the 60s. However, the friendly staff are here to help and will soon point you in the direction of your pre-booked accommodation.


The many permanent sites that stand within the park means that most of the tenants know each other and huddles of neighbours can often seen under the shade of the trees. There are a few spots for caravans and tents and these are interspersed between the permanent lodgings.


A very basic campers kitchen is available for use. Food can be cooked on the two gas BBQs that are available for use. The benches in the kitchen also provide a place for a meal that allows a different scenery from your designated camping spot.


The amenities are also very dated with 70s styled archways, even in the bathrooms. It's like stepping into a timewarp.

Recreational facilities are limited with only a freestanding basketball hoop available. There is not much else for children to do here, which makes it a great place to go if you don't want to hear the pitter patter of tiny feet.


The lack of little people gives this caravan park quietness and serenity which is great if peace and quiet is what you are after. It definitely does not have the hustle and bustle of other caravan parks and is a relaxing spot to come for some serenity.

Beach access is available at the rear of the property. A short 200 metre walk following the path will lead you to the roadway and then onto a beach track and directly to the beach.

If you hop into your car, you can also drive down to the beach and park at the playground located near the Water Sports Centre. The impressive 'ship' inspired play area will be popular with little tourists.


A 4WD beach track is available for those with a 4WD and there are entries both south and north from Binningup.


Whichever way you choose you will be rewarded with isolated beaches, beautifully clear water and an enjoyable time swimming, fishing or just lazing on the beach.

Binningup Bech caravan park offers basic facilities but is affordable and most of all... quiet.
