is an annual event which has been attracting vintage fashion followers since 1963. With the ever increasing popularity of internet shopping, the vintage clothing markets have exploded, but there is nothing quite like foraging for retro remnants in the real world. And besides, new upcycled clothing is a trend that goes a long way towards environmentally sustainability.

Held at the Robinson Pavilion, Claremont Showgrounds, recycled designer gear is available from the four stores; Boutique, Emporium, Op Shop and the $1 A Bag (which offers what it says). There is a gold coin donation for Boutique but otherwise entrance elsewhere is free. The sections are separated by temporary fencing which does make you feel a bit caged in but that my only reservation. Coffee, refreshments, snacks and light meals all available.

All proceeds from the Bindaring Red Cross Clothing Sale go to the following Red Cross Programs: Emergency Response; Post Disaster Community Support; Lady Lawley Cottage; Telecross 24; Good Start Breakfast Clubs; Save-A-Mate; Blood Donations; Techcross; Support for The Homeless; and Soup Patrol. Any cothes no sold are sent on to the Red Cross second-hand stores.

Visit the Bindaring Red Cross Clothing Sale to keep tabs on the next event and you are welcome to make donations of clothing and/or volunteer your time.
