He plays Carnival of the Animals on chromatically tuned cow bells, he has recorded a tribute to Metallica playing their song on horns, he bought an owl in China just so he could set it free - he is Bill Bailey!
Bill Bailey's impeccable comic timing together with his freakish musical ability makes him one of the craziest, funniest, and most unique comedians around.
I saw Bill live at the Thebarton Theatre in 2012 for his sold out show Qualmpeddler and I can honestly say it was the funniest and most entertaining thing I have ever seen.
The jokes were non-stop, the music played was mesmerising and Bill's energy on stage was contagious. From the moment he appeared he was engaging and it was clear the crowd loved him.
I'll admit, I'm a big Bill Bailey fan and have loved him as Manny in
Black Books , Bilbo in
Spaced and basically every role he has ever been in.
Guess what? He's coming back!
For one night only Bill will be back at the Thebarton Theatre for the Adelaide leg of his Limboland Australia and New Zealand Tour 2014.
"the subject of which is the gap between how we imagine our lives to be and how they really are." (Bill Bailey's official
website ).
Bill will be in Adelaide on Thursday, 9 October; tickets start at $79.90 and can be purchased from
Venuetix .
I'm possibly sounding a little too much like a crazy fan, so on that note, I leave you with a sample of what you can expect and I will sit here acting casual whilst counting down the minutes until October 9.
Tickets are currently on sale.
