Paddington Markets on a warm Saturday

Paddington is a chic, trendy and cosmopolitan inner Sydney suburb in the Eastern Suburbs. Many areas in inner Sydney are just as chic and are just like Paddington. Many locals and visitors to the area appreciate their weekends there in particular. Some of us love this area just as much during the week than on weekends. Life is definitely short, and Paddington has a lot to offer. With a bit of advanced planning, you can easily feel that your time spent in Paddington is a great investment of your leisure time.

Eat

Some of the delicious food available at Paddo

Paddington has a diverse range of choices when it comes to eating out, as well as quality food to take away. You have cafe's that make great coffee and dessert, cafes such as Micky's and Brion to name. The challenge is in which cafe to choose; go to a different one every time you find yourself on this end of Oxford Street. Otherwise Toko provides for great Japanese food to only name a few eateries and great places to buy quality food. Think Paddington Fresh Foods.

Play

The entrance to the Dr Seuss Art Gallery

Remember Dr Seuss as you were growing up? Although just outside of Paddington (situated in the next suburb, Woollahra) you will stumble across a gallery that is worth your visit called the Art of Dr Seuss with beautiful artworks of this famous cartoon character. Furthermore, Paddington has a great alternative cinema called The Chauvel, similar to the Dendy cinemas. See a normal film in a civilised manner (fully licensed premises) without having to go Gold Class. In saying this the seating is quite spacious, with a great balcony upstairs. Furthermore Paddington is not complete without the great boutiques such as Camilla and Marc. Not bragging, however I was fortunate to meet Napoleon Perids himself at his Paddington store at a Friday night function just before moving to Melbourne.

Love

The popular Paddington Markets again

This kind of blends into the eat and play elements. This is what there is to love at Paddington. Many visitors and locals alike somehow fall in love with the ambience and the diverse range on offer at the Paddington Markets, otherwise known as the Paddington Bazaar. All the stalls receive pretty good business, with people queueing up for a tarot card reading sometimes. Held at Paddington public school on the weekends. Otherwise you have beautiful Centennial Park to give you some time out by also loving yourself whilst in this great, affluent area of Sydney in rest and relaxation around nature.

Whatever you get up to in this area, may you have an enjoyable day out in Sydney's Paddington.
