Bags of Fun
Look cool with showbags, pink hair and green sunnies (by Sydney Royal Easter Show)
With almost 400 showbags to choose from and over a million expected to sell, you'll have plenty of choice from the confectionery, sport, video games, fantasy heroes and lifestyle themed bags at this year's Sydney Royal Easter Show. Fast track your search for the best with this top 10.
Cheapest - Bertie Beetle Blue $2
Feast (slowly) on 4 Bertie Beetle chocolates, 2 chewy, stretchy, classic Redskin sticks and 2 fruity lollipops. Perhaps one of Australia's favourite showbags since its arrival in 1970, the Bertie Beetle uses honeycomb and coconut from Violet Crumbles, with hundreds of thousands sold throughout Australia as it has remained at $2 for over a decade.
If you're feeling special, you can upgrade to the Gold bag for $3.
Most Expensive - Star Wars 7 - The Force Awakens or Trolls for $30
Continuing the trend of addictive Star Wars merchandising, especially after selling out quickly last year, your choice of a Darth Vader, Chewbacca or Storm Trooper backpack contains a large Darth Vader-tipped 6 colour pen, scrapbook and a study kit with pencils, 3D sharpener and eraser and a ruler.
In the Trolls backpack, you'll get a purse, glittery tattoos, soft toys, hair clips and bands and arty foil, all based on the wild haired dolls and the hit animated film.
Doctor Who $26
While it isn't able to transport you through space and time on an adventure with friendly extraterrestrials and the odd terrifying monster, the Doctor Who backpack does contain a travel mug which can match the ability of the Tardis, seemingly bigger on the inside than it is on the outside (but only if you use it a restaurants offering free unlimited refills). The Tardis themed backpack also contains a retro tote bag, watch for telling the time regardless of which century you're in, cap, reading light and stationery kit for recording your adventures.

The colourful 'Clackety Clack' backpack contains a candystriped cap, red white and blue belt, an easy to handle drink bottle and a rewards card with enough shiny stickers for the best behaved child in the class.
AFL Sydney Swans $25
Just in time for the new season, the black Swannies sportsbag contains a mini footy, cap, frisbee and stress ball (perfect for games against Western Bulldogs), shoe and tote bags and most importantly, stickers and a car flag for marking your spot during local derbies against the Giants.
Skylanders Swapforce $10
After the Skyland's volcano erupted, casting the Swapforce to Earth with their special powers and the clever ability to swap them, you can join the team with a Wash Buckler beach towel, 3D poster of the whole squad, from Rattle Shake to Hoot Loop, a notebook and pens, a tumbler with a 3D lenticular image and a sheet of stickers. For $15, you can upgrade to the Supercharger showbag, based on the unstoppable team including Spitfire, Splat and Donkey Kong, in their incredible vehicles with a fast and fiery themed backpack, cap and frisbee, keyring, 3D lenticular drink tumbler and a sticker sheet.
Scare yourself silly with 4 Goosebumps books, including the Monster Blood Tale, Night of the Living Dummy and The Haunted Mask, before attaching the sticky eyeballs, grasping the skeleton handed keyring, grimacing at the ants, roach and slime, then doing your homework with the torch, stationery set and sipper when you're thirsty, all contained in the green and black totebag coloured with assorted monsters.
