Melbourne is known for its finest, high quality restaurants, and within good reason as well. A few of Melbourne's quality restaurants will be covered. Restaurants where you truly reward yourself for winning a new deal, and for when you know that you have worked hard; and/or perhaps you want to treat that someone special to a quality lunch or dinner.
There are no surprises as to why this restaurant: the
Treasury on Collins Street is chosen as a popular venue for weddings and conferences, and within good reason as well. It is chic, elegant and sophisticated with that feeling of prosperity and opulence written all over it. Charm and sophistication, where it is formal, and a little bit dressy, and this all depends on the time of day that you come here. If you are thinking "end of financial year lunch" for next year, then look no further. It is also fun to come here for breakfast; especially the treasury breakfast with the most flavoursome chipolata's, and their porridge with rhubarb for winter is also something.
If French cuisine is your thing, then
Bistro Guillaume at the Crown Entertainment Complex is quality, and it does not feel like that you are only meters away from high energy gambling; yet there you are in a peaceful oasis. The green is a little too bright, yet this is what gives this establishment its uniqueness thanks to the recent renovations; yet their meat dishes do not disappoint. The service isn't as great as the original brasserie prior to the renovations; however French Food still has its class here with a fairly okay wine list.
For authentic thai, the
Red Spice Road is magical. Great service and quality thai food makes this a great locale for any occasion: lunch or dinner; with a date or with a group of people; and for only $25 per person including a couple of glasses of red: this is thai heaven.
