For out-of-towners or those who lack the culinary finesse to cook a turkey, Christmas Lunch at a restaurant is a worry-free way to make your Christmas day more about fun and less about washing up. Take a look at some of the best:
The Aquarium
By far the best of the bunch, Christmas lunch at the aquarium is a gourmet affair, with stunning food, exquisite décor and lots of entertainment for young and old alike. With free reign throughout, you feel like you're getting a behind the scenes peak into life underwater.

The Melbourne Zoo
On a sunny day, the zoo is an extraordinary place to celebrate Christmas. The trainers are on hand to take you into elephant nurseries, orangutang playgrounds and recycling centres. Good food, and a great family to share it with.

Healesville Sanctuary
Slightly further afield, Healesville Sanctuary is a similar experience to the zoo but with more of a country feel. You have a wider space to roam and plenty of fresh air. There's even enough space for a family game of cricket.

Yarra Cruise
If you prefer Christmas Lunch to be an occasion around the table, a cruise on the Yarra might be a good option. Running from 12-3pm you cruise past Port Melbourne and the Docklands while dining on 2 courses of traditional Christmas fare. Finish off your day with a stroll to the Botanic Gardens or a peak at the Myer Windows.
