The Volsted, 125 E 54th Street
Located right smack dab in the middle of Midtown Manhattan, this bar gets its name from the gentleman who was responsible for instituting Prohibition. Recognition of his role in history is shown not only in the name of this whiskey bar but also in the speakeasy atmosphere, although it's been modernized.
You want to dress up a little to visit this whiskey bar, but, hey, who doesn't enjoy an opportunity to get all "gussied up", at least every now and then?
O'Nieals Grand Street, 174 Grand Street
This is the bar that "Scout", the bar opened by Aidan and seen in many Sex and the City episodes was patterned after. You'll enjoy having a drink at what can actually be considered an authentic SATC site.
