If you are an art lover who loves poking around the different art galleries, you will have no problem finding these in New York City. There is one around practically every corner, so your only problem may be in deciding which one to visit first. This list below gives information on some of the different art galleries in and around New York City. You can learn about the artwork displayed at the galleries, and find one that has art that matches your taste.

Wilmeth Iraniparast Gallery, 196 Bowery Floor 7

Often referred to as simply WI Gallery, it is located in the Lower East Side. This gallery was chosen to be the exclusive representative of Jose Trujillo, so if you are familiar with his works and would like to own one of them, this is the place to go. Viewing is held either during special events or by private appointment. For more information, you can call 917-675-6353.

Woodward Gallery, 133 Eldridge Street

This is the gallery to go for your contemporary and modern masters' art selections. Represented works include those from Pablo Picasso to Andy Warhol, as well as those from other artists. Some of the other artists include those who are from New York itself, such as Richard Hambleton and Keith Haring. Represented Gallery artists include Deborah Claxton, Margaret Morrison, Jo Ellen Van Ouwerkerk, and Cristina Vergano.

P. J. S. Exhibitions, 238 W. 14th Street, New York

The location of this gallery automatically lets you know you're going to see some different and exciting artwork. The gallery is located where Chelsea, West Village, and the Meatpacking District all come together, and the distinctive atmospheres of each of these neighborhoods is displayed in the pieces that you'll find there.

Each featured artist's works are displayed in an environment that complements the artist's genre. In other words, you won't find paintings just hung on walls; they'll be in their own groupings for easier viewing and selection.

Spanierman Gallery, LLC, 45 East 58th Street

If you enjoy artwork from the nineteenth and early twentieth century American artists, then Spanierman Gallery is the place to visit. Some of the artwork being displayed is on loan from private collections and museums, while others belong to the Spanierman Gallery directly. The gallery also performs research on American art. When you purchase a painting from Spanierman Gallery, you'll be supporting these worthy causes, also.
