It appears children are also keen art advocates. Think of such initiatives such as the
NGV Kids Space in Melbourne. As a result children's art galleries are starting to come into vogue, although still in it's infancy.
On that note, just exactly where is Sydney's best children's art gallery? It can be either a free public gallery, or one where you pay for the art works.
I would have to say that
The Art of Dr Seuss gallery at Woollahra would have to be my favourite.
Why? Many of us now in our early thirties would have grown up with Dr Seuss as children, and it is still a favourite deep down in our hearts.
This gallery is also inviting, and makes for great time out. The art is alive, and it is art that both the young and the young at heart would find pleasure and pride in hanging up in any great home. It will be the focal point of any house-warming and dinner party.
Worth a visit to be seen and appreciated, even if it is just once. And if you wish, some chill out time at nearby Centennial Park is always well deserved.
Have you come across any great children's art galleries? If so I and the WeekendNotes community would love to hear about it.
