Lazy Sunday mornings are great. Sleep in, watch some Video Hits, take a shower and head out for some brunch – no need to rush!
These are some of Brisbane's most popular brunch spots.
Northside
Cafe Urbano (
69A Wilgarning Street, Stafford Heights). A modern Australian cafe with an extensive breakfast menu – the conventional big breakfast as well as more gourmet offerings like French toast with poached pears and a prosciutto, semi dried tomato and mozzarella omelette.
C Word (
3/1192 Sandgate Road, Nundah). Relax, the C word in question is coffee. The full name is C Word Bagel and Coffee and they offer every bagel combination you can think of.
Eastside
David's off Oxford (
1 Wambool Street, Bulimba). For a champagne brunch on a beer budget. Try the Viking Voyage omelette – smoked salmon, potato, shallots and cream for only $18.00.
Inner City
Tognini Bistro Cafe Deli (
Spring Hill Marketplace, corner Tabot Road and Boundary Street, Spring Hill). Winners of a Savour Australia Restaurant and Catering Award for Excellent for the best breakfast in Queensland, these guys take their brunch pretty seriously.
Gun Shop Cafe (
53 Mollison Street, West End). The Gun Shop Cafe is such a popular venue that they don't take bookings on the weekend, so get in early to get a table. Meals are made with ingredients sourced from local markets.
